WOWzers!
I stumbled upon this gem while going through some old computer stuff.

This hard drive was passed down to me from my buddy Steve, who received it from his dad. Now Corey is about as meticulous as it gets with record keeping and dates, which he got from his father, who used to immediately mark all items purchased from the grocery store with the date. Now this lends itself quite well when you are looking back at history.

In 1994, i was a sophomore in high school, and very much into computers. This Maxtor hard drive was purchased from Fry's electronics for $279. It holds 546 MegaBytes of data.

I just logged on to Fry's website, and for $240, i can purchase a Western Digital Hard drive. The size of the drive? 4 TeraBytes.

Let me put that into perspective for you. Today, for $40 less, one can purchase 7,326 times the amount of storage you could have bought 20 years ago, almost to the day.

Now that's amazing.
