Cardinals, bishops and dignitaries attend Pope's John Paul II funeral in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican today. Tens of thousands of people jammed St. Peter's Square to say a final farewell to Pope John Paul II in the presence of kings, queens, presidents and prime ministers for a funeral marking the largest religious gathering in the West in modern times. The Polish Pope was 84 when he died and will be buried in the grottos beneath St. Peter's Basilica, at the Vatican.
