~ Busy Bees make the sweetest things ~
We're in the car driving today for quite some time, and Maggie is fussing and whining the whole way. Trying to talk with Alexander over the baby half-crying to keep our sanity, the conversion turns to languages. Alexander is completely fluent in both Polish and English. He asks me when i was a kid, if i spoke both languages as well. I tell him of course i did. He contemplates this, and the following dialogue results.
Alexander: "When i was a baby, i didn't speak Polish, only English."
Me: "Really? I didn't know that. What did you say?"
Alexander gives his best impression of baby talk, saying something like GaGa, Goo Goo.
Me: "That's interesting. If that's the case, what does a Polish baby sound like?"
He cleverly changes it up, and puts a twist on it, saying GaGa GuWalej, or something.
Me: "That's also interesting. If that's what a Polish baby sounds like, then what does Maggie speak?"
Alexander: "She only speaks complain-ey."
