What made this event even MORE special, was the fact that i was able to coordinate with my brother and he came down from San Fransisco and we had a DUAL Baptism ceremony. A two for one!
For his very special event, we have carefully selected two people who are important in our lives to be the godparents for Maggie.
The godfather is Tomek Kosalka, who is a life long friend of mine from childhood. He's a great guy who will set a fantastic example for Maggie growing up. He's honest and loyal, and is also totally in love with his god-daughter. And for the godmother, we chose my sister, Eva Scalzo. She's a mother of two beautiful daughters herself, a devoted catholic, and a very driven person.
We believe both of these people will be not only truly great spiritual guides for Maggie as she's growing up, but also a very important part of her life as well.
The ceremony went off without a hitch, and both babies enjoyed their holy baths.
It was a wonderful event, and our whole family was there to celebrate. Of course, where there are lots of Poles, and a reason to celebrate, there's a TON of food! Check out this delicious spread!
And how cool is this cake??!
The grandmas were of course thrilled, and each had to spend some quality time with the special little lady.
We are two very happy parents! Welcome to the church, baby Maggie!
