farewell to a great writer
At the age of 66, Michael Crichton, world renown author, has died. He had been privately battling cancer for a few years.

He was my absolute number on favorite author, having written numerous million-selling classics such as "Jurassic Park" and "The Andromeda Strain." He had an amazing gift of crafting together awesome storylines while challenging scientists in many fields, and illuminated the mysteries of the world in a way we could all understand. My favorite book by far had to be "Timeline," where a group of scientist are able to tap into a wormhole and send a team back in time to 16 century France.

This is a tremendous blow to the art of Fiction, and he will be greatly missed.
