I must say it was an OUTSTANDING trip. I had so much fun. Of course, I went for, ahem, work. But all work and no play makes jack a dull boy. So in the interest of being non-dull, I just had to go nuts.
So, as usual, I have returned with a plethora of funky words that those crazy Brits use in every day language. Here we go!
Instead of calling someone, they ring the person. Instead of ‘for rent’ signs, you see signs ‘ to let.’ The best side to a fat steak is not a baked potato, it’s a filled jacket! And in case you don’t want to eat it there, you can simply have it take away. Why is that baby crying? Perhaps it needs its nappy changed. And last but definitely not least, are you a street performer? Do you want to make a few bucks playing the guitar in the subway? Well you can. All you need is a busking license!
Ok, so the main difference between this trip and the last (other than noticing that England is seriously short of dentists) is that I had a camera! So I managed to take a SLEW of pictures to document my journey throughout London with Iza and a fan-tAAAA-stic two day escape with Nick and Jen in the exciting city of Amsterdam.
Here they are!
Next we have a bunch of random sights in London such as a true public bathroom, a completely retarded sink, and a moving Ice Age 2 advertisement.
So Amsterdam is a wild, wild city. They have some of the weirdest things that i have ever seen. Take a look at some of the signs here. Simply boggles the mind...
We decided to get a wee bit o' culture in between our partying, so we took a tour of the Rijks Museum that featured the works of Rembrandt and other Dutch masters.
What?! It's only 2AM and you're kicking us out of the bar? That's it. Time for some 'souvenirs!'
Amsterdam has some of the strangest / coolest mannequins EVER. Check em' out.
More strangeness! Everywhere you look are shoes! Clogs and Shoes. And not just one size, mind you. But ALL sizes! Roar! Whoever thought that yellow was a good shoe color anyway?
Yet another night hangin' with the crew.
A crazy rave complete with go-go dancers? Hell yea.
Ahh. What better way to end this wonderful vacation than with a trip to the Heineken Brewery? I LOVE this city!!!
